Biography

Kalynne Green is a certified physician assistant and a member of the New York State Society of PAs, the American Academy of Physician Associates, and the Pi Alpha PA Honor Society. She received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. Kalynne began her studies at Siena College in Loudonville, NY, earning her Bachelor of Science in biology. She is particularly interested in women’s health and prenatal care, as well as infant care.

Kalynne has known for most of her young adult life that she wanted a career in medicine. She comes from a family who is dedicated to the medical field. Her sisters and her mother are all nurses! She has previously worked as a tech at a local hospital in medical cardiology and as a medical assistant at an OBGYN office. Through these experiences, Kalynne interacted with a wide variety of medical professionals and always found that PAs were very knowledgeable and passionate about their jobs. These positions also helped her realize that she wanted a more active role in the care of patients.

Something that drew Kalynne to family medicine is the preventative medicine aspect. She believes that the ultimate goal is to prevent disease from happening before it becomes a threat, and the best strategy is to target problems at their root cause. Both personally and in practice, she has witnessed patients with cancer, diabetes, and heart disease who deserved more comprehensive care before and in the early stages of their disease. She wants to use her knowledge to help her patients to live their longest and healthiest lives!

Kalynne loves every part of her job. She believes being in this position after so many years of hard work is a dream come true. She is excited to be in a field where she is constantly expanding her depth of knowledge and playing an essential role in the healthcare of a diverse panel of patients. Kalynne thinks the most important thing you can do is listen to your patients. She says, “If you have the right set of skills to listen to why your patient is there, you can learn almost 100% of what you need to know in the interview before you even lay your hands on the patient. Although it is something we do every day, it is a great accomplishment to both 1) have your patient feel heard and 2) have pulled out every important detail you may need to diagnose out of the conversation. Do it right, and your patient will get the best care, and you will be satisfied by your work every time.” Kalynne works hard to get to know her patients and their families well in order to optimize their care.

Kalynne is originally from Palm Beach County in Florida but moved to Clifton Park with her family as a kid. Outside of medicine, she enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, swimming, and skiing in the winter. Kalynne also loves traveling; she even did her women’s health rotation in St. Thomas, USVI!
